Check Out Your Website’s Browser Compatibility
By Michelle Waters | March 21, 2008
If you designed your own website, do website design for a living, or just want to check up on your designer, there is an awesome tool to help you do it.
Simply enter your website address, select which browsers you want to see your site in (or use the defaults) and click submit.
Usually within about 30 minutes, you’ll have a list of screenshots that you can hover your mouse over to enlarge, or click for more details about what browser and system generated the screenshot.
This is awesome, because you can use it to ensure that all your customers who are using Firefox, Safari, Opera or BonEcho (Have you even heard of that?!) can you use your website.
Just think, your website might look awesome in Internet Explorer 7.0 — but if it’s not standards complaint, people in Firefox or Opera might see a jumbled mess. And guess what? They’re going to leave your site.

Free Search Engine Optimization Report
By Michelle Waters | February 10, 2008
If you know what SEO is, chances are, you’ve read more than your fair share of articles or forum threads about how to optimize your site.
And chances are, you probably haven’t read a whole lot about what can prevent the search engines from finding or indexing your site.
So, I’ve put together a free report for you: “Can The Search Engines Find Your Site?”
This report includes several website factors that can keep your site out of the search engines — and even worse, annoy the few customers who do show up on your site.
You can download the free report at SEO Power Up until March. Yep, you read that right. In March, the free report will no longer be available for download. However, it will be included in the 52-week SEO training course that we’re putting together right now. This course will take you step by step through the process of optimizing your site and dispelling many of the myths swirling through the SEO community.
Grab your free report now at SEO Power UP, and we’ll add you to our notification list, so you’ll be among the first to know about our seo course in March

Need An Inexpensive Phone Answering System?
By Michelle Waters | January 10, 2008
How does free sound?
Google had introduced a “new” service called GrandCentral. It’s still in beta and currently free (not sure how much they will charge after beta), but what it does is gives you a local number and the ability to direct your phone calls to your cellphone, home or business line.
For example, I have added my family, friends and assistants to my address book. I’ve placed each of them into a group, and setup each group so that anyone in that group who calls me, is sent to one of my phones - and then if I don’t answer, they recieve one of my voicemail messages.
Even better, I can login to the site on my computer, listen to the messages, email a response or start a call.
The way you call through the computer is pretty nifty. This afternoon, I was on the phone with Steph and decided to try this out. I clicked the call button next to my husband’s name and number. A window opened up asking me which phone I want to call from. I selected my cellphone.
A moment later, my cellphone rang. I answered it and shortly thereafter heard the the sound of ringing in my cellphone. Moments later my husband’s phone started to ring.
Cool huh?
Wanna see the other neat features? Just go to GrandCentral.com.
Now, this service is by invitation only. So, if you want to try it out, you’ll need to link to this post from another blog. Then post a comment below with your link and email address.

By Michelle Waters | July 20, 2007
Just wanted to send you a short note letting you know that I’m hosting my first Grassroots Physical Product Seller’s Conference at 1 p.m. Central time July 30 and 31. I want you to be among the first to know about this free event.
I’ve invited two successful work at home moms who sell physical products online to share their stories with you. We’ll meet online in a wonderful chatroom provided by my friend Kelly McCausey, who owns WAHM Talk Radio. All you need is a computer, internet connection and optionally, a microphone.
If you don’t have a microphone, you can still participate in the text chat to ask questions. If you do have one, then you can ask our guests questions verbally. How cool is that?!
My guests include Tami Lindsley of HoffertsNursery.com.
I’ll email you next week with more details next week about where you will need to go to join in on this free conference. Keep your eyes out!
I’m looking forward to helping you make your business dreams come true!
